The vets 25-mile record has been improved yet again! Kevin Hobbs returned 52:06 in the VTTA National Championship event on the A25/34 course near Newark, on Saturday 17th October. Even in this Covid19-decimated season two new club records have been set. Ben Stancombe set a new men's 25 mile time of 48:59 in the Cambridge CC event on the F2A/25 course on 13th September. Jamie Murray set a new club record for veterans at 50 miles in Sunday's VTTA National Championship, beating Kevin Hobbs record from last year by just 19 seconds. Course: A50/2 - A46 Newark-Stragglethorpe(x2) Time: 1h 50m 36s Position: 20th overall (results on standard not yet available)

What a great season it’s been for the club as a whole, especially the Time Triallists, it seems to have flown by all too quickly. On 29th August Paul Pardoe road the UCI Gran Fondo World Championship Time Trial in Poznan, Poland. He completed the 18.3 km course in 24:46 to finish 6th in the 35-39 age category. Another excellent result for him this season.
Two more club records were set recently. Matt Senter improved his own 50-mile record to 1:42:53 in the Shaftesbury event on the E2/50 course on 21st July, and Paul Pardoe set a new 15-mile record of 28:52 on the F2/15 course on 17th August. Matt Senter set another club record on Sunday (30th June), returning 1:46:23 in the National 50 Mile Championship, for 15th place overall. Well done Matt!
Matt Senter set a new club record for 100 miles on Sunday 23rd June with 3:32:44 on the E2/100 in the ECCA Championship. He was 9th overall.
