PCC N&DCA Team photo 2019

Rockingham Wheelers hosted the opening race of the 2019 N&DCA series yesterday. A strong field of 86 riders taking part including some of this regions top testers. For a change the weather was good, over the last few seasons we have ridden in terrible conditions at Middleton. The course being 18.6 miles of mainly rolling countryside lanes.

Paul Pardoe was first PCC rider over the line in 40:17s, good enough for 4th over all and 100pts (First associated club rider). New club tester Jamie Murray posted a 43:11s, beating my time of 43:24s (Jamie getting 98pts and myself 96pts.) James Edward Boardley finished in 45:21s, and Phil Jones in 50:20s. Paul Breeze put in a 52:50s.

Team Bottrill edged us out for the team win, so we finished as second team. A very encouraging start to the season, with us all looking forward to the next round at Lamport on April 27th…If your a club rider why not come and join us.( if your unsure of how to register or want more details let me know)
