Torrential rain greeted 7 riders on Thursday for the 4 lap, 23 mile, Beardsall Cup.

The roads were awash and rain fell for the whole event, but it didn’t stop raining Club Time Trial Champion Nick Smith from winning the event and putting himself back in charge of the championship table.

Nick Smith won the event with a 1:00:37 that would have been sub 1 hour but for him having to stop to sort out his bottle cage. AndyBaird was second with 1:01:42 and Chris Harwood was 3rd with 1:03:37.
