Brett Harwood's domination of winning the scratch events came to and end when Jez Harrison rode to a 23:35 to beat Brett by 17 secs. Brian Charmley won the Handicap event with a ride of 30:42 to give him an 18:12 handicap ride, just beating John Airey's 18:15. It turned out to be the best night of the year so far with over half the field riding under their handicap. Lots of handicap cuts to follow.
