Nick Smith has been crowned club time trial champion for 2007. It was not an easy ride however and the final result was only decided in the last counting event.

Nick started his campaign back in February, by winning the Hardriders time trial, to take an early lead in the series. Nick was not the only rider with his eyes set on winning the title and Dave Yarham won the next two events to set up a season long battle between the two for the title. Nick then won two more events, but each time Dave was right behind him keeping the overall very tight and with two events to go and your best five results to count, it was going to be a nail biting finish. The final two rounds were both hill climb events and both won by Jeremy Harrison, but in the Rob Corrigan memorial event at Ketton, Nick secured a fine third place to qualify as one of his counting events and take the title for 2007.
