Matters Arising: Nil.
Correspondence: Nil
Prizegiving: The event had gone well, but was some £30 over budget.
Cycle Jumble: This would go ahead on Monday 1st March, and Secretary hoped for good support from Committee and other Club members.
New members: Applications from 4 new members were approved. Club membership now exceeded 70, provided those yet to renew did so.
Treasurer’s report: The current account was healthy at some £970, and with no significant liabilities, though the £400 balance for the clothing order would eventually come due. £281 remained on deposit.
Quartermaster’s Report: Sales of £165 had been made since the last meeting. A new order, value £796, had been placed.
Time Trial Secretary’s Report: • The next Winter 10 would be on 20th February. • He had 2 CTT handbooks available for purchase.
Road Race Secretary’s Report: • Ian Wild made a plea for support on Sat 3rd April – the NRCA road race at Southwick. • Secretary reported he had increased the field side for the top race on 30th May to 80, another day when much Club support would be needed.
Press Secretary’s Report: A report on the Prizegiving had been sent to the Evening Telegraph.
Sportive Secretarys: Neither Simon nor Phil could attend, but had reported: • Sportive section of the web site was getting plenty of hits. • Support for Saturday morning training runs was growing – 10 out on the last occasion. • Simon would be considering, with the Committee, whether we should run an event similar to the Bourne Wheelers Reliability Trial.
Trophy Secretary: • Many of the trophies were running out of room for winner’s names. John would investigate and cost methods of creating more room. • Discussion about the lapse of awarding long service medals led to Rod and Keith promising to look through their stores – they possibly had some stock.
Any Other business: No significant items were brought up needing to be minuted.
Date of the next Committee meeting: 15th March. There being no further business the meeting closed at 2027.
