Peterborough 100 - 18th April 2010 - 2010/01/28 19:32 Hi Everyone,

I joined the club in December & am beginning to get my miles up. I have signed up for the Peterborough 100 (I am doing the 100km as I don't think I'll be up to doing the 100 miles!).
Are there many other Peterborough CC Riders taking part? I recon I'll be trying for an average of 15-16 mph, if anyone is planning a similar pace and wants some company then please get in touch.

If you're not riding then you could always sponsor me! http://www.action.org.uk/sponsor/stevemilne

This is quite a challenge for me as after 17 or 18 years off the bike I am currently doing 30 mile rides!

Steve.

Re:Peterborough 100 - 18th April 2010 - 2010/02/01 13:13 It sounds like you must be a bit fitter than me if you are doing the 100 mile ride! Good luck with it, I'm sure I'll see you at the start line

I'll see you at the next winter 10.

sorry for not coming back to you sooner - not very good at the forum stuff, if you want to put in a few training miles we have a Training Ride on a saturday morning, and sundays Club run is a good opportunity to get some base miles in as well. If you fancy looking at a a few other sportives, have a look at the Sportive page. Best, Simon

Re:Peterborough 100 - 18th April 2010 - 2010/03/25 20:36 Hi Simon, Sorry for the delay getting back to you I don't remember to log on here very often! I don't get alot of regular training time and tend to get out whenever I can squeeze a ride in (Family commitments etc).
I will try to get out on one of the Saturday morning training rides some time soon.
With regards to Sportives I don't really know alot about them, they were'nt around for my first time round in cycling (17 years or so ago!), I will see how my TT's progress and take it from there.
Regards,
Steve.

Re:Peterborough 100 - 18th April 2010 - 2010/03/30 13:18 Is anyone else riding the 100 mile route? I´m planning (hoping really) to complete it in under 6 hours and it would be great to ride as a group in club colours helping each other with the pace...?
