 Minutes of the Peterborough Cycling Club
Committee Meeting
Held on Monday 14th December 2009
Members present:
John McCarthy, Richard Roach, Joe Ippolito, Rod Auckland, Dave Yarham, Chris Harwood, Norman Hill, Nick Sayer, Nick Smith, Simon Hodson, Phil Cavanagh.
Apologies:
Tim Cockerell, Gregg Siggs, John Savill.
October Minutes:
The Minutes of the previous Committee Meeting were agreed to be a true record of that meeting.
Matters Arising:
Nil.
Correspondence:
Richard had received the 2010 Endura clothing catalogue; there were no price increases, but VAT would be returning to 17.5%.
AGM:
The AGM went well, albeit turn out of members was disappointing.
Prizegiving 2009:
All fixed for 7th February at 1300, tickets £8. Len Young, life member, would present the prizes.
Club Bike:
No progress with the existing bike, which was not suitable, but several members had “bits” which could be available.
Treasurer’s Report:
Current account balance £596, deposit £281. No significant debts, and just 14 members had so far paid their 2010 subscriptions.
Quartermaster’s Report:
A further £161 worth of clothing had been sold since the last meeting.
Road-Race Secretary’s Report:
NTR.
Time Trial Secretary’s Report:
Two winter 10s had been completed, and were well supported. The draft for 2010 events was nearly ready.
Press Secretary’s Report:
Nick was looking for a list of contacts. He was hoping to arrange a Club trip to the Manchester Velodrome in 2010.
Trophy Secretary:
NTR.
Any Other business:
Rod would like to give a talk on the Club’s history early in 2010.
A new member’s application was approved.
A cycle jumble night on March 1st was considered a good idea; Secretary would organise it.
Simon was making progress on using the web site for coordinating sportives.
Date of the next Committee meeting: 18th January.
There being no further business the meeting closed at 2025 .
