3 in a row for the Cake Man

The (Cake Man) Andy Baird secured his 3rd straight win in the Handicap League at the Winter '10' on Saturday.

He only just beat (Mr Gourmet) Steve Milne by 7 seconds. Andy also won the Scratch & Vets events again as he did last time out.  Brett Harwood (2nd Claim) member put everyone to shame by notching up a 23'58" and that was after having a brush with a car through Hills & Holes that he reckons cost in around 20 seconds. Simon Leverseige (New member) was the other rider, he turned in a respectable ride of 36'02" to net him 26'43" on Handicap.

Bourne Wh Reliability Trial

MARKS RELIABILITY TRIAL

9.30am SUNDAY 13th FEB 2011

For those not old enough to remember what a Reliability Trial is. Its similar to a Sportive but as well as choosing the distance you also nominate the time you will take (i.e 3to 3.5 hours) not faster or slower that this. You have a choice of 2 routes 68 or 42 miles both will be signposted and will go through Wymondham so you can call in the Windmill Café if you want a stop on your ride. You enter on the day - just be at Burghley Street Car Park (rear of Bourne Post Office) in time to sign on for a 9.30am start. Entry fee is £3 with any profit to be shared between our Youth Development Programme and Mike Shattocks Yellow Beetle Challenge Charity - so donations for refreshments at end would be appreciated !! The FINISH is at Marks house NOT THE CAR PARK!!  - when you return to Bourne after the large roundabout on the bypass take first left into Beech Avenue - stop at No 123 for refreshments
