Riders in action

Peterborough riders were in action.

Sunday 6th March

Simon Hodson & Nick Smith were riding the Nelson Sportive oranized by the Spalding.c.c. the nelson is a 90 mile event that runs out to Brancaster on the North Norfolk before coming back through Burnham Market, they covered the route together in 5hrs 5mins.

(Puncture) Pete Moulding rode his first ever road race in the NCRA Handicap and finished 51st   1min 23secs down on the winner.

 

Saturday 12th March

Young (Puncture) Pete Moulding rode his 2nd  NCRA Handicap Road Race

at Middleton and had a much better result than the week before by finishing in 8th place in a sprint finish. Peter was over the moon with this result and really enjoyed the sprint finish. Peter discribed it as "awsome".

 

Dave Yarham & Andy (Cakeman) Baird were riding the Burton & District C.A. 2up TTT ‘25’ and recorded a time of 1:08:35 on what turned out to be a very hard hilly circuit.

Sunday 13th March

The Bourne Hardriders 22.5 mile time trial saw 4 Peterborugh members in action on a very tough hilly circuit that they had to covered twice. The morning was dull and overcast and the roads were wet and greasy, it then rained during the event, but all riders made good efforts and were pleased with their results.

Good Turnout for Hardriders

Sunday 27th February saw the best turnout for years at the Hardriders event to kick the 2011 season off for Peterborugh.c.c

Staight in where he left of was Nick (sick note) Sayer taking the win in both the scratch event and the vets event. The (Welsh Wizard) Dafydd Houston was runner up with Nick (The Barber) Hitchens just picking up 3rd place by 2 secs from Greg Siggs.  Last years Junior Champion (Puncture) Pete Moulding produced a good ride to finish with 1:03:13 for the longest race he's ever done.

Two brave the weather

 

Andy BairdOnly two brave souls rode the 6th Winter '10' on Saturday 19th February.

Dafydd Houston (The Welsh Wizard) made his first appearance in this years events and just managed to beat The Cake man (Andy Baird) by 5 seconds on Handicap. Dafydd did however win convincingley on scratch. Andy has already stamped his name on the all Winter League Trophies this year, Handicap, Scratch & the Vets League.

With only one event left he can't be caught in any of the Leagues.
