The Helpston league resumed this week with very wet and windy

conditions facing 13 riders. John French continued his current

run of success with the win on scratch while Brian Charmley won

the Handicap event. Both leagues are starting to look pretty tight

at the top now.

Result & Standings

John French took the Scratch'10' victory on the N1/10 at Stilton

on Thursday night with a ride of 24:06 to beat Nick Sayer's 25:13

by 1'07". This win puts John back in charge in the championship as

Nick Smith did not ride. With one race left before the hill climbs

John looks favourite to lift the title now.
