The Smith Cup & Handicap '15' started the summer club races off on Thursday night and the event was made really hard with a really stong south westerly wind making it hard work on the outward leg.
Again it was Nick Sayer leading the field with 36'30" to win the Scratch event, but new member Simon Hodson won the Handicap event by beating Nick Sayer by just 3 seconds. Dave Yarham won the vets event to make it 2 wins in a row for the vets championship.

Sunday morning 7 teams faced the time keeper for the "2up Team Time Trial" on the old A1 course N1/15 at Stilton. This was probabley the best turnout seen for a few years and the competion was close. First pair home were Greg Siggs & Nick Hitchens with 38'37" to take the lead. Next pair to pass the time keeper were Dave Yarham & Andy Baird but they missed the lead by 9 seconds with a 38'46". Next across the line were Nick Sayer & Chris Harwood 40 seconds behind Dave & Andy with a finish time of 38'26". That gave them the victory by just 11 seconds from Greg & Nick and meant that there was just 20 seconds covering the first 3 teams.

Seven riders beat their handicap Thursday night with John Airey shaving over 3 minutes from his to win the Handicap event. Meanwhile John French won the scratch event to increase his lead in the scartch league to 16 points and takes over the lead in the Handicap league to.
