Scratch 20

Thursday night the Scratch '20' was held on the circuit based around Helpston. Compared to recent events there was a disappointing number of entries considering it was a pleasant summers evening.

Nick Sayer won the event in 46'07" beating nearest rival Mike Ledlie by 5'27". The rest of the field then followed in at around 1 minute to 1½ minute intervals.

Hereward League Round 2

The second round of the Hereward League (Bourne Wheelers Event) was held on Wedneday Night at Essendine.

Peterborough riders did not fair so well this time as Greg Siggs was our only rider inside the top 10. We do have the top 3 riders in the overall standings now with Greg, Brian Charmley & Chris Harwood filling the top 3 places.

No club really dominated this event, best was Bourne with 4 riders in the top 10.

Next round is the Fenland Clarion event on Weds 24th June.

PCC Riders Dominate

Peterborough riders Dominated the first round of the Hereward League on Thursday night held on the Helpston Circuit.

After a rain shower before the start the evening turned out fine and condition were good enough for Six of the top ten  riders to be from Peterborough c.c. Everyone of them rode to a Personel Best for this year round the circuit.

Brian Charmley was the winner and PCC riders filled 4th to 8th place.

Next round is the Bourne Event on Wednesday 3rd June. HQ is at Essendine.
