Harrison’s Rise To Challenge  

Peterborough Cycling Club’s riders have been leading the way in local cylo-sportive events recently with some very impressive performances.  Cylo-sportives are the fastest growing form of cycling in the country, with riders setting off in groups 10 or 20 at 2 minute intervals, to cover challenging courses.  Not officially races these events are however timed and are more personal challenges in the spirit of events like the London marathon.  Brothers Jeremy (from Langtoft) and Alex (from Baston) have certainly risen to the challenge over the last two weeks at the Fenland Clarion Sportive at Stamford and the Squires and Spires event at Naseby.

Peterborough Cycling Club’s John French has extended his lead in the club time trial championship, with a great win in the club’s 15 mile event. John took the opening event, the Hardriders, back in February and made it two out of two with his latest success.
